</code> but it was still asking for microsoft account. So I switched off my wifi (by removing the power plug of the router). Then it was not able to access the internet and gave me the "I don't have Internet" option which I then selected.

Windows button -> Settings -> Accounts -> Other users -> Add account -> "I don't have this person's sign-in information" ->  Add a user without a Microsoft account -> Enter the  user name, password
