How to Install Windows 11 Without a Microsoft Account
tags | how to sign in without creating a microsoft account
- https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/install-windows-11-without-microsoft-account contains instructions on how to install windows 11 without a microsoft account
- But in my case, when I started the installation/activation I did not know about this microsoft account requirement. So I entered the wifi credentials. Later it asked for microsoft account which I did not want to use/create. I followed the instructions in https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/install-windows-11-without-microsoft-account . In particular, I tried
Shift + F10 OOBE\BYPASSNRO Shift + F10 ipconfig /release
but it was still asking for microsoft account. So I switched off my wifi (by removing the power plug of the router). Then it was not able to access the internet and gave me the “I don't have Internet” option which I then selected.
- Meta info: I started the installation/activation on 2024-09-29
